Jamie-Lynn Spears showed off a a new short bob haircut less than a month after she announced her engagement.

The former Zooey 101 star first hinted that she was about to get a makeover on Twitter on March 20.

"About to cut my hair #ahhhhhhh #newhurrdo<" Spears wrote of the attached black-and-white photo of a drawer full of hair scissors.

Later, she tweeted: "#shorthairDontcare" to a friend on the social medis site. Spears attached a blurred photo of herself wearing eyeglasses looking away from the camera while revealing a shoulder-sweeping bob haircut.

The former Nickelodeon star announced on Instagram that she is engaged to Jamie Watson, her boyfriend of three years, on March 2. She posted a photo of herself smiling while held in an embrace with Watson and in the picture she held her left hand up to show off the ring.

"Guesssss what??????" she wrote on Instagram followed by "#Hedidgood" as she captioned the photo of the ring solo.

Watson, 30, told the New York Post in January they had been dating on and off for three years. It will be the first marriage for Jamie-Lynn. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her 4-year-old daughter Maddie.

Spears' older sister, Britney Spears, couldn't contain her excitement about her siblings pending nuptials.The former X Factor judge wrote on Twitter on March 3: "So excited and happy for my sister, Congrats @jamielynnspears - love you." 

Jamie-Lynn's engagement news comes two months after her older sister Britney ended her own year-long engagement to Jason Trawick, TMZ reported on Jan. 11. The news came a day after it was announced that Spears quit The X Factor after just one season of being on the show.
