Sultry singer Lana del Rey posted a video on Twitter Thursday of her version of Leonard Cohen's Chelsea Hotel No. 2.

In the video, there are flashes seen of the Chelsea Hotel as del Rey sits and faces the camera, singing into a microphone. The video is simple and tame. In another shot she takes out a Marlboro cigarette, lights it and smokes in a close up of her lips.

In her other videos, such as for her song Ride and National Anthem, there is a theatrical feeling and some of them are about 10 minutes long.

According to Rolling Stone, Cohen wrote the song about a fling he had with singer Janis Joplin and the song appeared in his album New Skin for the Old Ceremony in 1974.

In an interview with the magazine after del Rey performed on Saturday Night Live in January, she said she often gets mixed reviews of her live performances and of her music. When asked how she felt singing live on television, she said, "It felt OK. The cast and crew said they loved it. I know some people didn't like it, but that's just the way I perform, and my fans know that."
