April Nardini deserves another chance, and Netflix's Gilmore Girls: Seasons is here to provide her with one.

Played by Switched at Birth's Vanessa Marano, April first joined the Stars Hollow gang back in season 6 as Luke's (Scott Patterson) brilliant daughter. The teenager showed up at the diner just in time to become a catalyst Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and her father's breakup, and there are still legions of 'shippers who never want the brainiac to darken the Luke's doorstep ever again.

Nevertheless, Luke can't simply write his offspring out his life. April will return with the rest of the cast for the revival, but Marano believes her character will garner a better reception this time around.

I hope this is her second chance. Where and when we last left Luke and Lorelai, they were sort of together, so a lot of people's beef, and my beef with April, was the fact that she broke those two up," the actress told Just Jared Jr. "Hopefully, this time around, people can just like the character for who she is, as opposed to the 13-year-old who was just a child when she broke up America's Sweethearts."

At 22, April is looking to begin either a Masters or a PhD (we're not surprised in the least!). As she decides her future, the bespectacled college-grad won't cause any major waves on the homefront.

"There's no drama that April is at the center of in this revival, which is so nice," Marano teased. "She's just kind of there, being a part of the family, which is awesome."
