Kathryn Dennis may have recently endured a messy split from Thomas Ravenel, the father of her two children, but that hasn't dampered the Southern Charm star's dreams of a big, happy family in the future.

During a recent interview, Dennis opened up about her plans for more children and a marriage.

"I absolutely love being a mom. I want a huge family. And definitely with the man that I marry," Dennis said last week during an interview with Bravo's The Daily Dish. "I want my children to have a stepfather and then grow that family and make it feel whole. I don't know when this is all gonna happen, though. It's gonna take a long time for me to not be cynical and jaded about men."

With Ravenel, Dennis is mom to 2-year-old daughter Kensington and 5-month-old son Saint Julien. And while their relationship has been up and down up until this point, Dennis recently confirmed that they are done for good.

"It was a long time coming. I think what really motivated it was that I had Julien in November, and I had hoped that having two children, something would fall into place somehow, magically," Dennis admitted. "[Thomas] was talking about marriage in the hospital. He really wanted to make it work. And then he just flipped a switch, changed, and I don't know. I kind of was just realizing my kids were more important than the way I feel about him romantically."

As for her ongoing troubles with Ravenel, Dennis remains hopeful that the two will one day be able to more effectively co-parent their two children.

"That's the goal. I can do it, and I'm confident that God will work it out somehow," Dennis explained. "I think it's gonna take a lot of time for him. We don't communicate at all right now, so I don't know what his brain is doing, if he's moving in that direction. I hope so," she said. "I can't predict that because I have no idea. I couldn't predict anything the last three years. It was like curve balls everywhere, so I don't know. We'll see."
