The Machine is back! Well, sort of...

Person of Interest closed out season 4 with destruction of Finch's (Michael Emerson) prized creation, but the team will be hard at work resurrecting her when season 5 begins. Unfortunately, the Machine's first test run won't go quite as planned.

Titled "SNAFU," episode 2 will see Resse (Jim Caviezel) and Co hit the streets once more. It's too bad they'll be working of faulty info.

"The Machine experiences a glitch during rebooting, supplying Reese and Fusco (Kevin Chapman) with the numbers of dozens of people not actually involved in crimes, while also locking Finch and Root (Amy Acker) out after identifying them as threats based on past violent behavior," CBS teased.

Whoops. Sounds like the Machine 2.0 isn't quite up to snuff. Luckily for America, Finch's team will be ready to take on the next batch of villains and victims in no time. While we don't know how "SNAFU" will resolve, we do know that episode 3 will put Resse's identity in jeopardy when a new case throws him back into the world of the CIA.

"Reese's cover could be blown when he realizes the latest POI has ties to his old colleagues in the CIA," reads the logline for "Truth Be Told."

With the Machine up and running once more, perhaps the Person of Interest team will be able to turn their attention to finding Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi). The poor Doc has been missing for quite some time now...

In the meantime, fans can check out the first promo for season 5 (click here). After a yearlong hiatus, viewers might need to refresh their memories.

Person of Interest will return to CBS for a 13-episode final season on May 3. The drama will air two episodes a week (Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET) before ending on June 21.
