Quantico fans can breath a sigh of relief - the ABC series won't leave any of its characters fighting for their lives through the hiatus.

With bombing, abductions, and lies galore, Josh Safran's time-hopping drama could easily leave viewers biting their nails all summer long. Quantico could also wait until the finale to reveal the terrorist. Surprisingly, the ABC series has opted to do neither of these things.

"I like the Buffy model. OK, the ride you've been on for 21 episodes is going to come to a stop and when you get off, you're going to see the next ride 20 feet away, and it's your chance or choice to get in line or not for that ride," Safran said, according to TV Guide. "That's pretty much how the finale works out. You will know what Season 2 is. The fate of people's lives is not hanging in the balance."

Viewers, if not Alex (Priyanka Chopra), will discover the season's big bad before "Yes" hits the air. Quantico has fans hooked, and writers aren't going to let a lazy viewer get the same payoff as those who tune in week to week.

"I know some people are like, 'I'll tune in to see who the terrorist or terrorists are in the finale.' It doesn't actually lay out like that. You find out before the finale," Safran promised TV Guide. "There are many more steps than that. The end of [Episode 19] really tells you what the plan is all along."

Titled "Fast," episode 19 will air this Sunday (see a preview below). Check out the official summary:

"It's career day at Quantico as the NATS meet representatives from various FBI branches to help them decide their future paths," ABC teased. "In the future, Alex continues to search for the terrorist, and in the process, discovers some familiar faces - including one who knows the terrorist's endgame."
