Bieber to be Prosecuted for Spitting Incident? LA Sheriff Makes Recommendation Following Justin's Scandal
Justin Bieber could be prosecuted for allegedly spitting on his neighbor on March 26.
The Beauty and a Beat singer is in the middle of a criminal investigation for battery following a verbal argument that took place outside his home in Calabasas, Calif. The dispute reportedly escalated when he made death threats and spit on his neighbor. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is preparing to recommend that criminal charges be filed against the 19-year-old singer, according to TMZ.
Law enforcement sources told the gossip website that investigators will refer the case to the LA County District Attorney for review once their report is completed, and they will recommend that charges be filed against Bieber.
The Canadian native denied spitting on his neighbor or threatening to kill him after he was confronted about driving fast in the neighborhood. The insiders also said Bieber's recent behavior shows a pattern of disregard for the law and they are concerned that he is on a ''dangerous path'' that could lead to more serious criminal activity. Members of the Sheriff's Department reportedly believe Bieber should seek professional help to manage his anger and attitude.
He was recently in another verbal dispute, that almost turned physical, with a photographer outside of his hotel in London.
The accuser in the March 26 incident was identified last week as automobile mogul Jeff Schwartz. He reportedly confronted Bieber about driving in the gated community at speeds close to 100 mph. Schwartz's wife, Suzie, called Bieber a "punk."
Sources connected with Bieber's security said Schwartz began screaming about loud house parties at the singer's home and that Bieber told the man to get off his property. The insiders insisted that the Boyfriend singer did not have any physical contact with Schwartz. The sources also claimed the singer went inside his house and security escorted the neighbor off the property.
Bieber is currently on the European leg of his Believe tour. He performed in Germany on March 28 - the same day his pet monkey was quarantined in a Munich airport - and then made his way by bus to Austria.
