More issues have surfaced for troubled actor, Columbus Short, who once starred in ABC's hit series Scandal.

Short has tested positive for cocaine and marijuana while being on probation and he could be charged with a felony.

According to Page Six, is slated to appear in court on May 9 after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Leslie El Brown had more questions about why he failed the test.

Short was put on three years of supervised probation back in September after he pleaded no contest to felony assault. He was also sentenced to two months of community service and was ordered to complete anger management courses. This was all part of the fallout and consequences Short experienced after throwing a punch during a family event back in march of 2014. The punch was so hard that the victim was knocked unconscious and even suffered a concussion. He also received treatment for a fractured eye socket.

Considering he failed a drug test for cocaine, things might be looking for Short, who recently split from his wife, video vixen Karrine Steffans, after only a few months of marriage. Still, his attorney Ludlow B. Creary has hope that he'll make a turnaround.

Creary said he is confident Short will "complete his probation, and get on with [his] career. It's our belief that Mr. Short is going to make progress."

This is similar behavior that caused Short to be axed from the hit ABC series. He was involved in a domestic violence case against his second ex-wife and has admitted to struggling with substance abuse issues.
