Russell Brand is walking away from millions in the wake of his divorce from Katy Perry, opting not to take a dime of her megabucks.

Brand's lawyer filed the divorce papers yesterday.

Because the couple married in California and didn't have a prenup, according to TMZ, everything they earned during their 14-month marriage is community property. Brand, who is entitled to half of Perry's earnings, could have raked in an estimated $20 million.

But, a source told TMZ, "This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)."

The divorce will be finalized on June 30, after the required six-month waiting period.
