Danica Patrick opened up on her recovery process following the crash at Talladega Superspeedway.

Earlier this week, the racecar driver had a nasty accident when her car slid in front, then hit another vehicle and eventually went into a wall. Speaking to NASCAR about this, she mentioned that she's pretty okay at this point with the exception of a few minor marks.

"I feel totally fine," she said. "I got a couple bruises, my arm came across and bent the steering wheel, and my foot went past the clutch pedal and came back on it coming back off the hitting the wall part. I have a couple bruises, but I feel really good."

One of the things that came in handy with this incident is the fact that Patrick is a small woman.

"I'm very fortunate that I'm short because all the pedals came crushing in towards me and the steering wheel came towards me," she explained. "I'm lucky there was a safer barrier there."

The vehicle might be in bad shape, but Patrick is more thankful that she made it out of the accident in good hands.

"You got to thank the man above for an accident like that and not having really any problems," she said. "So I've seen the car a couple times, I look at it and I'm like, 'That thing looks terrible.'"

Patrick recently dished to USA Today on how frightening it was to see flames from inside the car.

"I haven't had fire on the inside before," she revealed. "It got to the glove a little bit. Honestly, I was thinking about my hair. I have a lot of hair, and I don't want to lose it. That was the worst [wreck] so far. I have decent bruises on my arm and foot. I hit a wall at 200. And my chest hurt when I breathe."
