Fans might want to prepare for another shock on Arrow.

It was already pretty crazy to deal with the death of Laurel, but in the finale, Thea is about to make a decision on something big, which could change everything.

In Monday's report from TV Guide, showrunner Wendy Mericle dished on how the heroes are doing what they can to take down Dahrk for good. This might come with shocking outcomes especially since Thea is going back and forth on where she truly belongs.

"Thea had bloodlust earlier in the season and since then has been questioning her place on the team, and questioning whether or not she is Speedy, which goes back to her character's struggle with whether she's more of a Queen or a Merilyn," Mericle explained. "She's going to answer that question in [the finale] and come up with, what we hope, is a pretty surprising answer."

The showrunner also mentioned that fans can expect more alluring storylines in the fifth season.

"We talked about Season 4 as a soft reboot and I think Season 5 will see some big changes on the show," she said.

Katie Cassidy, who played Laurel on the series, previously discussed her character's death and how she felt knowing it would happen.

"I was okay with it," the actress said via TV Line. "We all sort of came to an understanding that this is what was going to happen, and it made sense to me."

"It's such a turn in the story that it gives them so much more to do and places to go with it," she added. "Otherwise, I feel like shows can get stale."

Arrow airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
