One Direction News: Band Earns Over $6 Million Each, Ranked in Young Rich List [FULL LIST]
One Direction members Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne each earned over $6 million in the last year and together they made it on the list of the top 15 wealthiest British music artists under the age of 30.
The United Kingdom's Sunday Times will publish the Young Money Rich List on April 14 but rankings have already been revealed. The former X Factor contestants, and current pop band icons, each earned 5 million euros in the last year - calculated out to $6,533,000. On the list they tied in last place with Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran.
This is the first year One Direction has been on the list. They took the United States by storm in 2012 with their debut album Up All Night and the album made it to No. 1 in 16 countries, according to BBC.
One Direction's 25 million euro combined net worth puts them £1m ahead of the combined fortune of U.K. band JLS, another result of Simon Cowell's The X Factor. However, each member of JLS - Jonathan (JB) Gill, Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold and Ortisé Williams - is worth 6 million euros, more than One Direction, individually speaking.
Adele tops the Young Music Rich List with a fortune of 30 million euros ($39,198,000) and she made 10 million euros in the last year alone, despite taking time off to have a baby and recover from a throat operation.
