Deliberate or not, game developer Bungie sure knows how to play its cards. Just hours before the firm is set to conduct a live stream for Destiny: Rise of Iron, a leaked trailer appeared online, showing various features present in the upcoming DLC. Perhaps what's best, however, is an announcement stating that the franchise's most beloved weapon, the Gjallarhorn, is set to return in the upcoming release.

The trailer, which initially appeared on Snapchat on Thursday morning, featured one of the franchise's most iconic characters, Lord Saladin, leading a group of guardians against a Fallen army. As much as the appearance of Lord Saladin was exciting, however, Destiny fans were immediately drawn to a short part of the trailer, which featured the return of the memorable Gjallarhorn.

The Gjallarhorn rocket launcher is widely considered by many Destiny fans as one of the best weapons in the entire franchise. Indeed, the heavy weapon, which is capable of wiping out enemies with its ridiculous amount of firepower, is considered as a favorite among players of Year One.

However, the Gjallarhorn was eventually phased out in Destiny: The Taken King, leading some fans to speculate that the weapon was simply too overpowered to make it a practical armament in the game. With the upcoming release of Rise of Iron, however, the beloved rocket launcher is set to return.

What's even better is that Gjallarhorn would feature a new, slick skin for the upcoming DLC. Dubbed the Iron Gjallarhorn, the weapon seems to be every bit as strong as its original iteration. Plus, acquiring the weapon is a lot simpler this time around, too, since the Iron Gjallarhorn is set to be included as a bonus for players who pre-order Destiny: Rise of Iron DLC.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is set to bring some new innovative additions to the game, such as new story missions, a new set of exclusive gear, massive areas that are available for exploration, a new PvP mode called Crucible, a Strike mission, a raid, as well as a group of never-before-seen Fallen.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is set to be released on Sept. 20.
