It looks like the legal troubles became too much for rapper Future.

Word is he dropped his lawsuit against his former fiancé and mother of his child, singer Ciara.

His suit against Ciara was a countersuit to the $15 million one that she filed against him for defamation. She claimed that his tweets against her regarding their child support issues when it comes to their 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, hurt her career.

Future clapped back with a lawsuit of his own saying that her singing career was hurting long before he went off on her via social media. He also said that Ciara did her own slander against him and requested that she cover his court fees.

Future has since decided to pull out of his lawsuit, Sandra Rose reported Tuesday. And hopefully he thought carefully before he did so because a judge dismissed it “with prejudice,” meaning that he can’t file a lawsuit against Ciara for the same reason again.

This is the just the latest in Ciara and Future’s recent legal battle. But while he decided to drop this lawsuit, a judge ruled in his favor in one of their previous go-arounds. Rumor has it that Ciara hoped a judge would give her sole custody of their child. Instead, the California judge sided with Future and granted him twice-monthly visitation.

It’s not clear why he decided to drop the lawsuit, but it certainly does look like a peaceful gesture before things went too far.
