They were rumored to be taking a big step in their relationship, but a new photo has emerged that may suggest Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch have cooled off their romance.

A photo surfaced on Instagram which showed McAdams attending a wedding last weekend, where she is snuggled up in the photo next to a man who is not Kitsch, and according to Lainey Gossip, he is actually screenwriter Jamie Linden.


The website reports that Linden, who previously dated Zooey Deschanel, was the man in the photo, and the wedding took place in Virginia. No other details suggesting the relationship between the two was immediately available, though the person who posted the image on Instagram did indicate in the comments section that she was a plus one at the event.

McAdams may have just been a plus one for a friend at the wedding, which means her relationship with Kitsch (which neither has explicitly confirmed or denied) could still be on on-track, and just fine.

Reports surfaced in March that the two, who reportedly knew one another for years before growing closer while filming True Detective last year, were allegedly planning on moving in together and take the next step in their relationship.

"They're practically living together," sources said at the time. "Rachel is at Taylor's condo all the time."

It was also reported at the time that the pair were able to fly under the radar when it came to their relationship because they enjoyed mostly low-key activities like going for brunch and hitting the gym together, and sending nights in.

They also reportedly took another big step by March which involved Kitsch, 34, meeting McAdams' family, which allegedly went well.

"He immediately bonded with Rachel's mom, Sandra, which made Rachel really happy," the source said at the time.

Low-key romances are nothing new with McAdams, who after a somewhat more public relationship with Ryan Gosling, went on to quietly date Michael Sheen, Josh Lucas and Patrick Sambrooke.
