The season 2 premiere of The Jim Gaffigan Show will air on TV Land Sunday night, but here's how you can watch parts of season 1 to get you caught up.

The Jim Gaffigan Show stars Jim Gaffigan as himself, a stand-up comedian raising five kids with his wife (played by Ashley Williams) in New York. The cast also includes Michael Ian Black, Adam Goldberg, Tongayi Chirisa, Vanessa Aspillaga and Caitlin Moeller.

The first season aired last summer to rave reviews, with Newsday calling it the "sitcom hit of the summer," adding, "What you will certainly see is how finely tuned both the marital observations and comic timing are. The producers should know: They're Gaffigan and real-life wife Jeannie, both actors, writers and parents of five. Their viewpoint here recalls that other smart 21st-century 'family'-com 'Everybody Loves Raymond,' which also knew: It's not about the kids, it's about the adults trying to survive them."

If you haven't seen The Jim Gaffigan Show and want to catch up before season 2, there are a few options. You can watch five of the first season's 11 episodes on the TV Land website to get a general feeling of the show. The episodes include the pilot, episode 2, episode 4, episode 6 and episode 9.

If you want to watch the whole thing are willing to pay a little money for it, you can do that too. The full first season is available on both iTunes and Google Play for $14.99, or $1.99 per episode.

The season 2 premiere of The Jim Gaffigan Show will air Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TV Land, with the network airing two new episodes back to back. TV Land does not have an official live streaming service, though you can expect the two premiere episodes to show up on the TV Land website Monday morning.
