Jiminy Cricket's alter ego (Raphael Sbarge) is set to return in season 6 of Once Upon a Time this fall.

The season 6 premiere of Once Upon a Time will feature the return of psychologist Archie Hopper, the human incarnation of Jiminy Cricket, according to a new TVLine report. Once Upon a Time co-creator Adam Horowitz revealed to the publication that "our favorite cricket-shrink is going to find himself with a new patient."

As for who this new patient might be, the possibilities are endless. It could be Regina (Lana Parrilla) who has certainly had a trying couple of years, culminating in her Evil Queen alter ego being split from her. There's also the possibility of Hyde (Sam Witwer) being the patient, considering his own struggles with an alter ego.

Beyond characters dealing with their sense of self, it could be Emma (Jennifer Morrison) or some nice couples therapy for Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin). Needless to say, there are many characters on this show who could use a therapy session or two.

Horowitz previously spoke on the new season exploring our heroes on a deeper level.

"The intent is that these new characters and new stories are really a reflection on what's going on inside of our characters," Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly last week. "With Lana and the Evil Queen, that's the starkest example, which we've already teased. We're literally going inside her and pulling her apart. There are elements of that that we're planning to do for each and everyone of the characters."

Additionally, season 6 will be doing away with the half-season arcs featured in seasons 3, 4 and 5. Instead, season 6 will be a more complete entry into the Once series, like seasons 1 and 2. In other words, the upcoming fall half of the season won't necessarily be dealing with Hyde for 11 episodes and then having the storyline end with the winter finale.

Once Upon a Time season 6 premieres Sunday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
