Exes Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are expected to come face-to-face when they attend the 2013 Billboard Music Awards in May, where both singers are nominated in many of the same categories.

The two singers broke up in January and they will run into each other not long after news surfaced that Styles said dating Swift was "a pain in the a**e."

Styles and his band One Direction are nominated for the 2013 Top Artist award alongside Swift, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5 and Rihanna. Styles and Swift are also both nominated for Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Social Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

In the album category One Direction has two nods - for Up All Night and Take Me Home - while Swift received recognition for Red, which she is currently promoting on a U.S. tour.

The United Kingdom group is up for a slew of other awards as well, such as Top Duo/Group and Top New Artist.

Swift is in the Top Female Artist category up against Adele, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. She is also nominated for Top Hot 100 Artist award and Top Country Artist.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will air live on Sunday, May 19 at 8/7 p.m. Central on ABC. The ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

These measurements were tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Entertainment and Next Big Sound.

Swift and Styles had a similar run-in at the BRIT Awards in February, where they both performed and were nominated.
