After it was confirmed that Demi Lovato will return to the judges' table at The X Factor this fall alongside Simon Cowell, a new name was added to the mix on Thursday- actress Jennifer Love-Hewitt.

Cowell, who is also the show's creator, is hoping that Love-Hewitt, 34, will join him at the judges' table.

"Simon is very interested," a source told Us Weekly.

Love-Hewitt is the latest celebrity added to the list of possibilities. She released a single, BareNaked, in 2002.

Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland is reportedly negotiating with the show's producers. A friend of Rowland's told Us Weekly that "Kelly's nearly a done deal!" and a rep for The X Factor told the celebrity weekly "this is pure speculation."

Fox announced on March 30 that Lovato will return to the judges' table for season 3 and the singer shared her excitement in a statement.

"I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor," Lovato said. "Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!"

Host Mario Lopez will also return to the show, and he said on April 23 that he is "looking forward to returning to The X Factor team."

"We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent," he added.

Cowell said he was "thrilled" to have Lopez back.

Britney Spears and Khloe Kardashian will not return for season 3.
