Mark Ballas may already be courting his next Dancing With the Stars celebrity partner.

At just 16 years old, gymnast Laurie Hernandez has excelled to superstar status through her participation in the Rio Olympics. She and her fellow U.S. gymnasts Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian won the gold medal for the team all-around competition on Tuesday, with Hernandez becoming the first athlete born in the 21st century to win a gold medal.

With this success, Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas is hoping to get her on the dance floor this fall. Ballas tweeted about Hernandez late Tuesday night, noting that she has "star power" and asked if she needed a dance teacher.

Luckily for Ballas, Hernandez happens to be a fan of Dancing With the Stars. The 16-year-old revealed this in an interview with NBCOlympics.com, listing it as one of her favorite shows. She also stated that she likes "to learn dances off YouTube" in her spare time.

Hernandez's teammate Raisman was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars back in 2013, where she was paired with none other than Ballas himself. Together they excelled as one of the strongest pairs of the season and finished in fourth place overall.

Olympic athletes have traditionally done extremely well on Dancing With the Stars, with Apolo Anton Ohno, Shawn Johnson, Kristi Yamaguchi and Meryl Davis all winning their respective seasons of Dancing With the Stars. Other former athletes that that won Dancing With the Stars include Emmitt Smith, Hélio Castroneves, Hines Ward and Donald Driver.

While Hernandez may seem young for Dancing With the Stars, she actually wouldn't be the youngest contestant in the show's history. The Hunger Games actress Willow Shields competed on the show in 2015 when she was just 14 years old.

Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
