Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson are getting married in a matter of months.

Following Phelps' appearance at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, news of his impending wedding has hit the web, courtesy of his soon-to-be wife, who just happens to be the mother of his adorable son, Boomber Phelps, who has been seen frequently in the stands during the ongoing races.

“We have a date. It’ll be small and intimate for the wedding, then we’re throwing a massive bash for everyone in the States,” Johnson revealed during an interview with Access Hollywood, according to a report by Hollywood Life. “We’re getting things rolling. I’ve been planning. I think I have the wedding in order and now I’m on to the party.”

Phelps and Johnson began dating in 2011 but ultimately split as Phelps struggled with personal issues and ultimately entered a rehab facility in Arizona. Then, after rekindling their romance, Phelps and Johnson became engaged in February of this year and welcomed their first child together a short time later.

During her interview, Johnson was asked whether or not she thought she and Phelps wouldn't make it during his struggles and in response, she admitted, “Oh, yeah."

“I think we both [felt that way]. We both shared stuff with our parents, ‘This is it, there’s no way we’re getting back together’, and when we finally did, it was still a little rocky, but we didn’t miss a beat. We’re happy,” she explained. “Now we have a little one and a wedding at the end of this year.”
