Ryan Lochte is currently in the midst of scandal due to his allegations of being robbed and now, Michael Phelps has added in his two cents.

Earlier this week, while running errands in Scottsdale, Ariz., Phelps was asked if his fellow swimmer would be able to come out of the controversy unscathed.

"We have good people taking care of it, so hopefully," Phelps told E! News.

Days after authorities in Rio denied Lochte was robbed at gunpoint as he claimed, the swimmer issued an apology on Instagram and Twitter.

"I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend — for not being more careful and candid in how I described the events of that early morning and for my role in taking the focus away from the many athletes fulfilling their dreams of participating in the Olympics," Lochte wrote, according to a report by NBC News.

In other Lochte news, the swimmer has reportedly jeopardized his net worth of $6 million due to his recent scandal.

"This is going to take out, probably, all of his endorsements,” ESPN's Darren Rovell, a sports business journalist, said in a recent video, according to a report by the International Business Times. "[Lochte] has a big deal with Speedo, a big deal with Ralph Lauren – those are his two biggest deals – he has one with Marriott, one with Airweave, a mattress company."

Although none of Lochte's sponsorships have been ended at this point, it may only be a matter of time before Lochte's booming career comes to an abrupt halt.
