After weeks of rumors, Dancing With the Stars has officially announced the celebrity cast for its upcoming 23rd season!

Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday to reveal the show's new cast. As Bergeron teased, this is certainly one of the more eclectic groups of celebrities the show has ever assembled, from Gold Medal Olympians to politicians.

The Dancing With the Stars season 23 cast was announced as follows:

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke

Gold medal Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy

Actress Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev

Model Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Reality star Terra Jolé and Sasha Farber

Actress Marliu Henner and Derek Hough

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Emma Slater

Actor Jake T. Austin and Jenna Johnson

Former NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold

Kenny "BabyFace" Edmonds and Allison Holker

Rapper Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson

Race car driver James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess

Country music singer Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko

Lochte appeared on Good Morning America before the announcement Tuesday to reveal why he was joining Dancing With the Stars. The Olympian, who was charged with fabricating a robbery story to cover up a gas station incident in Rio, admitted that he wants to put this "behind him" and keep positive. He added that he wants "the whole world to move forward". 

Julianne Hough is officially re-joining the judging lineup, alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. Julianne previously judged seasons 19-21.

Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
