Nastia Liukin admits in her new book that she was "frustrated" with some aspects of Dancing With the Stars.

In Liukin's recent memoir, Finding My Shine, the Olympic gymnast details her experience with Dancing With the Stars in season 20. The gymnast writes about how various clip packages of her interacting with partner, Derek Hough, and other partner, Sasha Farber, didn't exactly tell the whole story.

"The package showed us getting frustrated, then a producer asked me a question that had nothing to do with the show or what we were doing. Were we frustrated and exhausted at times? Of course," she writes, as reported by RadarOnline. "But we never had an argument, and that is what they tried to make out of it."

She admits that the package of her appearing to fight with both Hough and Farber made her appear like a "spoiled brat!"

She insists that this particular clip made her appear to be a different type of person.

"The main reason for my disappointment was that I had tried very hard to show the real me throughout the show, and that package was not who I was," she writes. "They took a single 30-second segment of an entire week and made me look like something I was not."

Regardless of Liukin's frustrations, she feels positive about her experience with Dancing With the Stars.

"I did so many things that were out of my comfort zone," Liukin admits. "I also met a number of incredible people, and even learned to dance some along the way . . . Without a doubt, I know I will always be glad that I put my fears aside to go on this incredible journey."

Liukin ultimately came in fourth place, behind third place finisher Noah Galloway, runner-up Riker Lynch and winner Rumer Willis.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 23rd season on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The new cast and pro lineup will be announced a few weeks beforehand.
