A new still image was revealed of Taylor Swift's guest starring role in the May 14 season finale of New Girl.

In the picture the I Knew You Were Trouble singer is posing as Elaine, who is a guest at her sister Cece’s wedding in the episode ironically titled Elaine’s Big Day.

"She was amazing. She's a fantastic actress," said Executive Producer Liz Merriweather about Swift, adding, "Our set is a fun set to come to, but it's also a little bit crazy because there's a lot of improv and people shouting out extra jokes and she completely held her own… She fits in great. She's really, really great in the finale. It's really funny.”

New Girl Costume Designer Deb McGuire spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Elaine's dress for the wedding. Swift character wearing white to the affair, which is typically reserved for the bride's gown.

“I had this image of [Taylor's character] standing up and being in white, because CeCe, the bride, is in red, because it’s an Indian wedding,” McGuire said. ”It’s sort of a pun that she’s this white girl in this white, American [outfit]. She’s as wholesomely American as possible,” McGuire said.

In the end McGuire and Swift decided on a peach-tinged white lace vintage dress from a Los Angeles costume and prop house, matching it with vintage pearls and nude heels from Diane von Furstenberg.
