"Deadpool 2" is being challenged with people dropping out the project even before the production begins. Another significant colleague announced his departure from the team.

"Deadpool" may have been a huge success in the box office early this year, but that is not saving the sequel from challenges in pre-production. After Tim Miller left the directorial chair, Junkie XL is following suit, the Cinema Blend mentioned.

The composer of the first film took to his Twitter account to announce that he will not return for "Deadpool 2." Based on his post, Junkie XL bowed out of the second installment because Miller will no longer be directing.

The 48-year-old Dutch music producer said that composing the music for "Deadpool" is a significant chapter of both his personal and professional life and he very much reveled in working on the film. On the other hand, he felt like there is no reason to return as a composer in the sequel now that Miller resigned from the directorial job.

Junkie XL revealed that the American director has played a key role in making him a part of the production team. Hence, without Miller, there is no Junkie XL.

Around a couple of weeks ago, Miller left the production of "Deadpool 2." Reports mentioned that his decision was sparked by opposing views with star, Ryan Reynolds, and writers, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The director reportedly wanted to go a different path from the three's intended vision.

Producers are now searching for a new director. Three are top contenders for the position including "John Wick" director, David Leitch. However, with this new blow to the team, the movie may be facing new delays.

In other "Deadpool" news, there are no specific plot details for part 2 that have been revealed yet. However, early reports mentioned that Domino and Cable will be appearing in the sequel. No actors are confirmed to play the roles, either.

20th Century Fox is pushing for a 2018 release for "Deadpool 2."
