It was earlier reported that "The Originals" Season 4 will premiere after the season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Fans of the show should not be sad about the final season yet as it was reported that some of "The Vampire Diaries" characters will be heading to "The Originals" for Season 4.

According to GameNGuide, "The Originals" Season 4 will feature some of the characters from the original show as Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) and probably Caroline (Candice King) will be featured in the show.

According to spoilers, Alaric will deliver a priceless artifact to Elijah (Daniel Gillies). This is not the first time a crossover happened in the show as Matt (Zach Roerig), Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) already appeared in the show's previous seasons. The purpose of the artifact is yet to be known.

There were also speculations that claim that Nina Dobrev might appear in "The Originals" Season 4. It was said that she will be playing another doppelganger and not her original character Elena Gilbert.

Christian Today reported that there are also speculations that Caroline will also be making an appearance in "The Originals" Season 4. In the current events of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Stefan and Caroline are engaged. However, considering the circumstance they are in, there are speculations that they might not have a happy ending.

With that, it was speculated that Caroline might be going to New Orleans to help Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and they might end up together instead. Wesley teased in an interview that he thinks his character might be killed off in the final season of the show. Does this pave the way for Caroline and Klaus to continue the romance that they had to end before?

It was also teased that new characters will be joining "The Originals" Season 4 as "Containment" star Christina Moses joins the cast as a werewolf doctor named Keelin. "Sleepy Hollow" actor Neil Jackson will also join the show as a vampire named Alistair.

"The Originals" Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on The CW on March 17, 2017.
