"Luke Cage" proved to be a big hit alongside the other Marvel superhero shows in Netflix. Here is some of what the fans should expect when Season 2 will be released.

By the end of "Luke Cage" Season 1, Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) kisses Luke Cage (Mike Colter) before he is taken back to Seagate Prison. Claire then promises Luke that she knows a lawyer who can help him. A lot of fans have speculated that this lawyer will be Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) or Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson).

With that, GameNGuide said that this could mean that "Luke Cage" Season 2 will feature the beginning of the crossover between the other Marvel shows like "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones" and "Iron Fist." It was reported that this will be a new crossover series titled "The Defenders." There are also reports that claim that Dawson was seen shooting for the upcoming new series.

Dawson has already appeared not only in "Luke Cage" but also in "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones" in the past. With that, it can be expected that in the new series, fans will see the love triangle between Luke, Claire and Jessica (Krysten Ritter).

According to Vine Report, "Luke Cage" Season 2 will also bring Iron Fist and Luke Cage together as they work as Heroes for Hire as revealed during the Los Angeles Comic-Con last Oct. 28. Aside from that, it was also speculated that Misty Knight (Simone Missick) will be making her return in "Luke Cage" Season 2.

Misty is a detective and Luke's ex-lover. During the Season 1 finale, she was severely injured after being shot during a hostage incident. Rumors claim that Iron Man will make a bionic arm for her, however, there are still no confirmation regarding this claim.

As of writing, Netflix is yet to confirm the release date for "Luke Cage" Season 2. However, with the release of the other Marvel superheroes series, it is most likely that "Luke Cage" Season 2 will be released by 2018 or 2019.
