The cast of Teen Mom 2 is reportedly filming a new season of the MTV reality series.

Although the cast will be returning to MTV next month for season 7B (MTV previously identified the new season as season eight), there is a new season said to be in the works which will come sometime after the upcoming series of episdoes concludes.

"The girls all have a schedule and they're supposed to film this weekend," an insider revealed to Radar Online on Friday. "MTV hasn't announced the season yet but they the camera crews are already following the girls around."

Currently, the cast consists of Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry, as well as their children's fathers.

"The girls are working out their money but they are always fighting with MTV. They try to jerk them around and say the filming is an extension of one season so they don't have to pay them any more," the source explained.

According to the report, MTV is hoping to capture special moments from the girls' holiday celebrations.

"They want to film on Christmas," the source added.

While Messer reportedly feuds with her ex-husband, Corey Simms, yet again, both Evans and Houska are expecting babies due next year. Meanwhile, Lowry's divorce drama continues to play out as her former husband, Javi Marroquin, recently went public with a new girlfriend.

Teen Mom 2 season 7B premieres on Jan. 2 at 9 p.m. on MTV. Check out the trailer below.
