It has been quite a ride for actor Ben Affleck since he assumed a superhero character back in 2003. As it turns out, getting another shot at the champion crusader genre is worth the wait.

The 44-year old's move to don on the Batman costume earlier this year is probably one of the best decisions he ever made in his entire Hollywood career. Affleck's performance in the Batman V Superman film is considerably noteworthy.

While it did not really come as a total surprise, the actor's statement during an interview with the New York Times TimesTalk session has been a huge revelation. He admits hating portraying the Daredevil character.

It can be recalled that the 2003 movie has its own good and bad points. Although his take on the blind vigilante role is dismal, meeting his future wife Jennifer Garner on the set is perhaps the joyful moment around that time.

It can now be understood why Affleck has been eager to become Batman when Warner Bros came around. The chance to straighten out things in a comic book field does not come around very often.

However, the actor has a different approach about the Netflix revival of the Daredevil franchise on TV. He has commended the network for instituting a better version.

In line with this, Affleck that back in 2003, something should have been done about his blind superhero character. With the flaws in the open, he knows that he needed to make amends at some point.

On the other hand, compensating the vigilante role is only one motivation to assume the Batman role. The actor's son has been very supportive about Affleck becoming the caped crusader. The four-year old actually believed that his dad is the night superhero.

Although Affleck's casting as Batman has received some unfavorable reactions, hesitation has not really crept in.

Considering that his career has hit both high and low levels, what has mattered more to the actor is the way he approached the character. He has learned not to be affected by other people's opinions of him although he admitted that getting fit is necessary for him to become the Dark Knight.

As of late, Ben Affleck looks forward to donning the black suit again when the Justice League films get underway while also preparing for a solo Batman movie.
