He has been forced to somewhat accept the fact that he won't have the wife he loves with him at Christmas, but Wyatt (Darin Brooks) will be given new hope that he and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will have a reunion after all after Quinn (Rena Sofer) tells him about a powerful ally he has on his side on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Eric (John McCook) has always previously stayed out of Steffy's love life and allowed her to make her own decisions, especially as she tried to figure out if she wanted to remain married to Wyatt, or if she wanted to finally reunite with his brother, Liam (Scott Clifton) once and for all. Now that he is married to Quinn however, Eric is determined to make sure his new step-son and his granddaughter wind up together, and Quinn will share the good news with her son that he could get what he wants after all.

"With Eric on your side, I don't think Liam is going to be with Steffy much longer," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Dec. 20 episode.

Of course, Liam knows that Quinn and Eric are plotting against him, and it does have him worried, even though Steffy continues to reassure him that he is who she wants to be with, and all she wants to do it enjoy their first holiday back together in a long time.

"This is our first holiday back together," she says in the clip. "And so many more."

And while Steffy is confident that she and Liam will make it through and finally have their happily ever after ending, she will also be preoccupied and not necessarily realize just how much Quinn and Eric are trying to orchestrate things from behind the scenes. Now that she is the CEO of Forrester, and Wyatt is the head of PR, the two will be working closely together day after day, and it could lead to some of those unresolved feelings creeping in once again.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
