Tom Clancy's The Division Update News: Central Park Dark Zone, New NPC, Tactical Terminal Uncovered, Coming In 2017 [VIDEO]

Ubisoft's highly popular online-only open world shooter video game, Tom Clancy's The Division, has received a lot of new content and updates during the course of 2016. Since its release back in March last year, gamers were able to enjoy a mountain of new content that have engaged players even after they had already finished the game's main campaign.

According to a report from WCCFTech, Ubisoft apparently still has a lot of plans for the game going into 2017. The report reveals that several dataminers were able to uncover some of the possible new content within the game's code that might be released at different times throughout the year.

A particular post on Reddit, by a user named iamunkn0wn has revealed some of these content via a number of scripts he was able to extract out of the game's source code. As per the post, one of the biggest additions that is likely to be coming out soon will be a new Dark Zone set in Central Park.

The script reveals that Central Park has apparently been used as a dumping site for dead bodies and players are tasks to perform recon missions in the unfriendly territory. There is also a part where players must find a gas mask and a hand sanitizer to go on a scavenging mission within the park.

Another possible addition to the game was revealed to be a new SHD tactical terminal and a new NPC that players will be able to interact with. In scripts found on the game's code, it was revealed that players would be coming in contact with a guy named Kekich.

Kekich will be leading them to a new SHD tactical terminals that have been airdropped into the Dark Zone. During the mission, players will be tasks to recover the operational data found in the terminals by getting them fully online.

Since the data has been mined from the game's current code, there is still the chance that some of the content may be scrapped. Nevertheless, the data that was uncovered still indicates that there is still a lot more in store for Tom Clancy's The Division for 2017.
