Pokemon GO became very popular in July 2016. It is a free-to-play, location-based game developed by Niantic for Android and iOS devices. The game was the outcome of collaboration between Nintendo and Niantic, by way of The Pokemon Company.

But this is not your average game. For you to catch a Pokemon, you need to walk around and look for Pokemon using your mobile phone's GPS. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Pokemon GO became a hit. Because for one to catch a Pokemon, it takes a little bit of effort.

And now that 2017 is starting, many Pokemon GO avid players and trainers have one question in mind. Where are the legendary bird pocket monsters?

According to SLASH GEAR, the release of the three legendary birds namely Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres might possibly surface around Spring 2017. Because Spring is a time where most players are expected to come out of their house and catch Pokemon outside. The release of the three legendary bird Pokemon might appear during one of the Holiday Event, as further discussed by Slash Gear.

SLASH GEAR also stated that the release of Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno will not be part of any religious holidays. It will not also cost any money to obtain and it will not be limited to a number of people. Catching these legendary Pokemon on Spring makes sense because birds are more visible during these times. And it is also a time where people wear comfortable clothes and could catch Pokemon a little bit easier.

Pokemon GO has no story in it. And according to Mic Network Inc, there's no dramatic moment by which these three legendary Pokemon birds could be introduced. But now that baby Pokemon and Generation 2 Pokemon have appeared, many people are expecting to see Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno pretty soon.

As of this moment, Niantic hasn't revealed any future event in 2017 for Pokemon Go yet as further discussed by Mic Network Inc. But it would be pretty surprising if these three legendary Pokemon birds will not appear in the near future.
