Tom Hardy's new series Taboo premieres Tuesday night on FX, and here's how you can watch it live online.

FX is set to air the premiere of Taboo tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Check out FX's synopsis of the intriguing new show:

"Set in 1814, Taboo follows 'James Keziah Delaney,' a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father's legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery."

Hardy plays James Keziah Delaney in the show, which he co-created with his father Edward a.k.a. "Chips" and screenwriter Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders). Many of the promos for Taboo suggest that the show shares some similarities with The Revenant, at least in its dark style and revenge-like aspects. And Hardy was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor last year for his role as John Fitzgerald in The Revenant, so he fits this role nicely.

Taboo also stars Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), David Hayman (Trial & Retribution), Michael Kelly (House of Cards) and Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones).
