Caitriona Balfe, who is playing the role of Claire Fraser in Outlander Season 3, teased what in store in the show when it returns. The 37-year-old star hinted that the television series based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon will be very different from its predecessors.

The Money Monster star revealed that one of the good traits of their television series is that it changes every season. "In the beginning, when we come back this season, I think everyone knows at this point the stories are quite separate," she told The Wrap.

Balfe teased that fans will see more of Jamie's (Sam Heughan) story in Outlander Season 3 and what he has gone through in the past 20 years that they have been separated. Her character's story, on the other hand, will be explored as the professional doctor and surgeon.

Their viewers, too, will see some of Frank (Tobias Menzies) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) with her. Aside from that, the much-awaited reunion of Claire and Jamie will be finally seen in the third season of the series adapted on Gabaldon's Voyager.

"Of course, there will be a reunion. Which I think is really beautiful and it's been filmed really beautifully," Balfe hinted. The Now You See Me actress revealed that this would be a very interesting scene in Outlander Season 3. This, especially, when they have not seen each other for 20 years after believing that they are both dead.

Meanwhile, the show's writer Matthew B. Roberts held a Q&A session on his Twitter page revealing that there would be a possible change of story in Outlander Season 3. However, his answers are often short and not fully detailed; although he revealed that the show's ending would be "super exciting" and "spine-tingling," according to Movie Pilot.

In fact, Roberts hinted that fans will once again experience mixed emotions and will shed a lot of tears in the ending of Outlander Season 3. As this alarms the fans, some question what exactly it is that he responded with "tears of joy."
