Derek Hough is working on a new dance competition show with Jennifer Lopez, with whom he apparently has great chemistry.

Hough is one of the judges on an upcoming dance competition reality show called World of Dance, co-starring with Lopez. The Dancing With the Stars veteran spoke on working with J. Lo and how their relationship will be displayed on the show.

"I think that we just have great chemistry," Hough said in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. "We hit it off really well. We have a good banter between each other. She's cool. I mean, she's not just another person because she's J. Lo, but what you definitely feel comfortable around her for sure."

World of Dance brings together the world's greatest dancers "to compete in epic battles of artistry, precision and athleticism," says NBC. "Solo artists compete against duos and crews in an unlimited range of dance, including hip-hop, krumping, popping, locking, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, clogging, stomping and more."

The competition is divided into three different divisions, including Junior acts (under 16 years old), Upper acts (smaller groups over 16 years old) and Team (bigger groups over 16 years old). Each division faces off in duels, with the final acts competing each other in the grand finale for $1 million and title of "Best in the World".

Rounding out the judges table with Lopez and Hough is singer/dancer Ne-Yo. Lopez and Ne-Yo have previous judging experience, with Lopez judging five seasons of American Idol and Ne-Yo guest judging on America's Got Talent. This is Hough's first judging experience, while his sister, Julianne Hough, currently judges Dancing With the Stars.

Derek is not expected to return to Dancing With the Stars this spring.

World of Dance is expected to premiere this spring on NBC, though a premiere date is not yet announced.
