During the season finale of Married To Jonas, which aired on Sunday, Kevin Jonas learned that the rumored sex tape starring his brother, Joe Jonas, had gone viral and ended up in the national news circuit.

Kevin found out through his brother-in-law Mikey that the rumor gained widespread attention. Mikey told Kevin, his wife Dani, and their friends at a gathering that he heard there was explicit footage starring Joe.

"I just got some uh..devastating news, Joe's..uh ...sex tape got out," Mikey told the group.

"Oh I heard about that," Kevin replied about the news he thought had not gone viral.

After some back-and-forth about the topic, the family members made light of the situation and cracked jokes about it.

"I told him not to leave the laptop open," Mikey said, while Kevin quipped, "I guess what happens in South America doesn't stay in South America."

Kevin became sensitive about the issue regarding his brother and took on a more serious turn to the topic. He debunked the rumor and slammed media reports.

"That's ridiculous," Kevin said. "Did you read what they were writing? They wrote that he has this sex tape now and it's explicit like ball gags and chains," he explained of the false reports.

When the women asked what ball gags are, Kevin explained it is a gadget used where someone "takes a chain and they put it around your mouth."

Mikey followed up with more witty banter on the topic and said if it were him he would poke fun at the rumors. He joked, "I would run with it, I would start making stuff up like 'hey, yeah, we always walk around the house with latex suits and never knew why.' "

"Well he (addressed it) and said 'ball gags, me guys? Yeah,'' Kevin told the group about Joe's response to the reports. "CNN posted it...It's ridiculous. It's not even true - what are you going to do. Big, big, big news guys."

According to a report in March, Joe and his girlfriend, 28-year-old Blanda Eggenschwiler, filmed a sex tape in a Buenos Aires hotel room and a number of sex toys and marijuana were also seen in the footage. Joe's rep denied the claim in a statement: "There is no truth or validity to the story. It is completely false."

Joe tweeted a simple response to the rumor at the time: "ball gag? really? me? come on guys."

Married to Jonas airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on E!
