"Avatar 2" lead actor Sam Worthington, who plays as Jake Sully, the former marine who defected to the Na'Vi race, has recently teased the fans with interesting insights on what they can expect in the sequel. To be more specific, moviegoers can certainly expect a very different second installment that focuses on Sully's life in Pandora.

Worthington, while speaking with We Got This Covered, noted that in "Avatar 2," fans will get to see Jake's life in Pandora around eights years after the events of the first movie. He also dropped the news that the main protagonist now has a family.

"This film is going to be like nothing you've ever seen," the Australian actor said during his interview. "The world is bigger than the first one, but essentially, it's a movie about family."

This isn't the first time "Avatar 2" has been linked to a family movie. Film director, James Cameron, voiced the same tone later last year when he spoke with Variety, and revealed that it will revolve around Jake and Neytiri's (Zoe Zaldana) family and their struggle with the humans.

The lead character's family is not the only aspect that fans should look forward to in "Avatar 2." Worthington continued on his interview with We Got This Covered that Jake is now exploring the world of Pandora - probably the places that were not shown in the 2009 movie "Avatar."

Judging by what he said, it would seem like the secrets of Pandora are now going to be uncovered, as what speculations suggest. It also may shed some insights on what it's like to live as a Na'Vi, the main alien race of that world.

Elsewhere in the interview, the actor mentioned that production for "Avatar 2" is now being expected to begin this summer. Its other sequels, "Avatar 3, 4 and 5," are also going to be filmed simultaneously.

No specific dates yet on when the production for the second film will begin. But "Avatar 2" is now scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2018. More news about the movie should emerge in the coming months.
