Game developer and publisher Valve Corporation has officially announced the new date for "Dota 2 - The Kiev Major." Its ticket pricing and the day for when it will become available are revealed as well.

"Dota 2 - The Kiev Major" main event is now set to run from April 27 to April 30, 2017, Valve announced on its blog post. The second for the 2016/17 game season is going to be held in Kiev, Ukraine, at the National Palace of Arts.

Esports enthusiasts who'd like to watch "Dota 2 - The Kiev Major" at the location can start their purchase for the tickets on Feb. 22. Ticket availability for the event is said to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern European Time, and fans can buy them through Ukraine-based online ticket store, Karabas.

Prices will begin at (Ukrainian Hryvnia) ₴130 each for the regular main event days (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). The "Dota 2 - The Kiev Major" Grand Finals ticket price, on the other hand, is going to be priced at ₴400, and it is scheduled to happen on a Sunday.

The "Dota 2" 2016/17 season will only consist of two major Valve tournaments - "Dota 2 - The Boston Major" was the first major this season which was held back in December 2016. It will then be followed by Kiev and will eventually lead up to the biggest of the year, "Dota 2 - The International 2017."

"Dota 2 - The Kiev Major" was originally planned to kick off its main event on April 20 to 23. But Valve had to move it to later dates to "help reduce potential conflicts with other tournaments," mainly the "Dota 2 Asia Championship" in China this coming April 1 to 4.

Fans who'd like to try their luck at the "Dota 2 - The Kiev Major" can participate in the open qualifiers that will run from March 6 to 9. The regional qualifiers, on the other hand, is not set to kick off until March 10 to 13.
