"Timeless" Season 2 is still in limbo as NBC has not made any announcement. Nevertheless, fans need not lose hope as executive producer Eric Kripke is rooting for a revival. What is more, actor Malcolm Barrett, who plays Rufus, is excited to see what the writers would do with the potential second season.

"Timeless" Season 2 has not been approved as yet by NBC but it seems executive producer Eric Kripke is hopeful about the show being revived, claimed Carter Matt. He said that they are trying to figure out if they will see it. The ratings have slotted it into the bubble but there are a lot of things that NBC would consider if they want to give the green signal to "Timeless" Season 2.

According to Kripke, NBC would take into account DVR figures, online streams, their upcoming pilots and overall enthusiasm for the time-travel show, Den of Geek reported. Though he acknowledged that the show is not getting great ratings, he proposed that moving it to Fridays could be the best situation for everyone. He stated that it would be a natural replacement for "Grimm" and it would open up the time slot for something else as well.

In related news, actor Malcolm Barrett aka Rufus, is excited about "Timeless" Season 2 and said that seeing what happened between the first half of "Timeless" Season 1 and the second half, he cannot wait to see what the writers would do with a "Timeless" Season 2. Elaborating further, he revealed that at the start of the series, the writers gave them the premise and then in the second half they did a lot of things to subvert the same.

Barrett also revealed that shooting the finale of "Timeless" Season 1 was a bittersweet experience as he was filming it with Claudia Doumit, who plays his love interest Jiya. He also acknowledged the rabid fan base of the show and said that they are waiting to figure out what is going on regarding "Timeless" Season 2.
