Here is good news for Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev fans! "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale might not be the last time that they see their favorite on-screen couple. The duo is speculated to appear as "Delena" in the spinoff, "The Originals" Season 4, along with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Alaric (Matthew Davis).

"The Originals" Season 4 is all set to premiere in March, just after "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale airs on television. Speculations suggest that the finale episode of "The Vampire Diaries" will not be the last time that fans will have Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder sharing screen. The duo, along with Paul Wesley and Matthew Davis might make a cameo appearance in "The Originals" Season 4.

It is worth mentioning here that the cameo of Matthew Davis has been confirmed so far, according to reports from Hypable. But, no official confirmation or announcement about the cameo of Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley in "The Originals" Season 4 has been made. So fans will have to wait till an announcement is made.

In related news, it has been reported that once "The Originals" Season 4 is back, it will make a time leap of five years since the defeat of Klaus, who has been kept in chains by Marcel. Moreover, along with the old faces, there will also be an addition of a new character, Keelin, EW reported. Keelin will be played by actress Christina Moses and her character will be amongst the last living werewolf. She is also an ER doctor who is openly bisexual.

The trailer of "The Originals" Season 4 suggests that the season will also witness the return of Cami from the dead as when Klaus calls out the names of her former flames, Cami responds saying, "I'm here." However, whether it is his delusion after immense torture or whether Cami really makes a comeback is yet to be confirmed by showrunner, Julie Plec.

"The Originals" Season 4 will premiere on March 17, on The CW.
