Dick Van Dyke has determined that the cause of his yet undiagnosed neurological disorder is his dental implants.

Van Dyke posted on his Twitter feed on Thursday that they were the cause of his pounding headaches.

"It seems that my titanium dental implants are the cause of my head pounding. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for all your replies," the 87-year-old actor tweeted.

Van Dyke revealed in April that he was suffering from an undiagnosed neurological disorder, taking to Twitter to ask his followers for advice on subduing symptoms.

"My head bangs every time I lay down," he tweeted, "I've had every test come back that I'm perfectly healthy. Anybody got any ideas?"

At the time, doctors confirmed that they did not know the cause of the disorder.

"Tests and scans have yet to reveal a specific diagnosis," said Van Dyke's representative Bob Palmer, "Various medications have not diminished the symptoms."

Despite this, the actor tweeted to his fans in April that they should not be concerned for him.

"Thank you for your concern & advice. I've had this condition for 7 yrs. Its not terminal, just a pain," he tweeted.

Van Dyke was forced to cancel numerous appearances because of the condition, including his accepting of the first Lifetime Achievement Award for Bettering Humanity Through Comedy from the 92nd Street Y.

The actor became popular in the'60s through films like Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Bye Bye Birdie and television shows like his own The Dick Van Dyke Show. He would later star in the mystery series Diagnosis: Murder in the '90s.

His most recent acting role was in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian in 2009, though his scenes were cut for the film's theatrical release.

Van Dyke was given the Screen Actors Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
