The announcement of a possible cancellation of "Girl Meets World" Season 4 had the fans of the series disheartened. However, it seems that a slim chance of the show's renewal exists even though it has been canceled by Disney Channel, as reportedly, other networks are showing interest in taking the show ahead.

"Girl Meets World," showrunner, Michael Jacobs said in an interview that he thought the show will run till Season 4. But, Disney Channel announced "Girl Meets World" Season 4 cancellation early this year, even though the showrunner has a lot more story and plans for the characters of the show, The Wrap reported.

In his interview, Michael Jacobs mentioned that four seasons were signed with the Disney Channel and he thought that they would be able to build on the story till the fourth season. Moreover, a remarkable final "Girl Meets World" Season 4 was also planned. It is also pretty evident that the showrunner is unhappy with the cancellation of "Girl Meets World" Season 4.

However, contrary to what "Girl Meets World" showrunner said, Disney Channel feels that throughout the 70+ episodes, they successfully said the story of many fan-favorite characters from "Boy Meets World." Moreover, every good story comes to an end. Also, Ryan Schwartz and Andy Swift, "Boy Meets World" enthusiasts stress that though "Girl Meets World" Season 4 would be nice, but "Girl Meets Goodbye" had a satisfying end for both "Girl Meets World" and "Boy Meets World," TVLine reported

Fans who are anticipating the renewal of "Girl Meets World" Season 4 have their hopes high and are also said to have started a campaign to save the show, even though it might be at the last hour. But, in spite of the high hopes of the fans, the chances of "Girl Meets World" Season 4 is extremely slim.
