Sony's online streaming, rental, and subscription-based platform, PlayStation Now, has just been expanded. Fans can now stream some of their PlayStation 4 games to their Windows OS (Operating System) gaming desktop.

The announcement was made on Sony's most recent blog post, which was posted on Monday, March 13. Players can enjoy streaming many games using the PlayStation Now, mainly titles from PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation 4. Some subscribers are probably getting worried because of the latest addition - price-wise.

Luckily, it seems like Sony will not change anything regarding the subscription rate of PlayStation Now. As said on Droid Report, the amount that players need for its monthly subscription - $19.99 - is still the same as before.

For new subscribers, what PlayStation Now does is it lets users gain access to an ever-expanding list of games from PlayStation 3 to PS4. It's basically like Netflix or Spotify but instead of television shows, movies and/or music, it streams games, Trusted Reviews explained.

PlayStation Now, as said by Sony, uses Cloud saves for its games. What it means, basically, is it lets players start a game on the PlayStation 4 platform and continue it on the PC - or vice versa. While this may sound rather exciting, fans will have to wait for quite a while before it actually rolls out.

Sony has yet to officially make any announcements about the specific release of PlayStation 4 games for the PlayStation Now platform. But a private test for the feature is being planned for kick off sometime in the coming weeks.

Those who still have an active subscription will have a chance to partake in this test. Fans are being advised to frequently check the registered email they used for the invitation roll out. More news and update about the matter should emerge in the coming weeks - or even months.
