Bonner Bolton created a social media firestorm when he grabbed his partner Sharna Burgess in an inappropriate place during Monday night's Dancing With the Stars premiere.

Bolton certainly made an impression on Dancing With the Stars last night. In addition to dancing a steamy, countrified cha-cha-cha, he was spotted in the skybox accidentally grabbing Burgess in her crotch area. Burgess quickly shooed his hand away but not before Twitter captured the moment:

Don't think anything of it, though, as Bolton told Entertainment Tonight it was purely accidental.

"I was just stargazed by Nick [Viall] and Peta [Murgatroyd]'s performance and I was looking at the TV screen. I felt her bump into me yet I wasn't really looking at what was bumping into me. There was some hand placement that went south, so to speak," he admitted.

The incident went down coincidentally on the same night as multiple judges commenting on their sizzling chemistry. While Bolton and Burgess only received a 22 out of 40, the bull rider said he may have been caught up in her beauty.

"I was telling her before we started tonight, I said, 'I can't look at you for too long, I feel like I might get distracted,' and maybe that's why I missed some of my steps," he quipped to Us Weekly.

"Oh gosh, I am a professional! No, no, we have a great chemistry and we have a lot of fun but first and foremost we're just trying to do a great job in this competition," Burgess added. "I want to stay in it to tell his story, I want everyone to get to know him and I want to take this man to the final. And that is our priority! I think everyone's making a big deal about our obvious chemistry."

Bolton and Burgess were on the lower end of the judges' scores for the night, so they will definitely need America's votes to propel them further in the competition.

Dancing With the Stars season 24 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
