Nicole Kidman's latest sex scene with Alexander Skarsgard on "Big Little Lies" was violent and provocative. Keith Urban's wife said it took a toll on her physically and emotionally.

In "Big Little Lies," Kidman plays the role of Celeste while Skarsgard is Perry, the abusive husband. The sex scene had viewers' reaction hype up as the Swedish actor went on full frontal nudity.

In an interview with Vulture, Kidman says that the violent scenes on "Big Little Lies" put her in a lot of pain. "After we shot some of the really, really violent scenes, I was in a lot of pain myself," the Australian actress said. She also said that because the series is making a strong statement about the sexual and domestic violence, she herself wanted to tap into the truth of the abuse.

Kidman said that her body felt strange and that it was very uncomfortable. "It wasn't a good feeling, I have to say. But women go through this, so I wanted to tap into the truth of it," the 49-year-old actress said. She added that she wanted the scenes in "Big Little Lies" to be real, and what was required was an element of violence.

Kidman said that after the shoot, she felt beat up and it was not a good feeling. She even felt weird talking about it. Her role as Celeste in "Big Little Lies" was probably the hardest roles to talk about.

According to Vogue, Urban wanted to take a photo of her back after the filming the sex scene in "Big Little Lies" because it was covered in deep, massive bruises. Kidman's husband was devastated but he has to accept because his wife is an artist.
