Sharon Case teased about the upcoming return of Camryn Grimes to Young and the Restless.

Case offered a few comments to Soap Opera Network about her former on screen daughter returning to the soap opera in an article published on Wednesday. The veteran actress was pleased by Grimes' return to the CBS soap opera. Grimes has already begun taping and will first air Monday, July 8.

"I saw her last about five years ago. I do see her on Twitter, so we hadn't been completely out of touch, but it was just neat to work with her again," Case said.

Case could not offer any storyline details about Grimes' appearance on the show. However, she did not feel as though fans would not be let down.

"You'll really like it," the Emmy Award-winning actress said. "It's going to be great."

Grimes confirmed in May that she would be returning to Y&R in more than just a sporadic appearance since her character Cassie Newman was killed off in 2005. Grimes shared her excitement on Facebook about returning to the Y&R set on May 25 after the news of her return broke.

"I guess the word is out! Although I cant say in what capacity or how long for, I'm very excited to be returning to The Young and the Restless. It feels just like coming home :)," Grimes wrote.

Joshua Morrow, who played her father Nick on the daytime drama, tweeted on May 30 that he was ready to welcome her back with open arms.

"RT MISSED YA THE FIRST DAY, ILL BE HERE!!! - I WANT AN 11 MINUTE HUG :)," Morrow tweeted May 31.

Fans will be able to see Grimes on their television screens before her reappearance in Genoa City next month. She told her followers on Twitter that she was invited to the Emmy Awards set to be televised on June 16.

"Just got my invite to the #DaytimeEmmys this year!! I leave for Hawaii this Friday for a week so I have ZERO time to find a dress Aaah!," she tweeted Wednesday.
