Selena Gomez underwent a kidney transplant over the summer and according to a new report, her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, had no idea that the health crisis was happening.

Following Gomez's September 14 revelation of her secret surgery, which took place after her best friend, Francia Raisa, donated one of her kidneys to the 25-year-old singer, a source is speaking out about Gomez and Bieber's relationship, claiming that the two simply "don't talk anymore."

“He is hearing about this just as everyone is hearing about it. He’s he is happy that she is okay, but he has no interest in contacting her to see how she is doing. This will not be a catalyst for them to talk again. He is generally happy she is okay, but that is all he wants to deal with right now when it comes to her,” a source close to Bieber told Hollywood Life on September 14.

TMZ was first to confirm that Bieber had no idea his former girlfriend had gone under the knife.

"They don't talk. Period," a source told the outlet.

"It was a childhood thing. They've both had other relationships. It's over," a second source added.

Speaking of other relationships, Gomez is currently dating The Weeknd and according to a report earlier this week, the singer was a "rock" for Gomez throughout her health struggles.

“The Weeknd has done everything right and then some,” a source close to Gomez told Hollywood Life. “When she got really sick they hadn’t even been together that long, like less than six months. He was in the middle of his tour, he could have easily pulled away and blamed it on work. But it was the opposite, he stepped up to the plate and was solid as a rock."
