With heavy criticism being dealt to the new Xbox One, comedian Lewis Black when into a tirade about the gadget's latest technology developments on Wednesday's The Daily Show.

Black introduced the topic by explaining how the NSA surveillance technology scandal has made the public paranoid as a nation. He then listed the newest wave of "space toys" that companies like Google and Microsoft are coming out with.

Black showed an ad for Google Glass, a camera placed above one's eyes that has constant Internet access and allowing video recording in real time. The ad features a woman standing in front of a jellyfish tank telling the device to "google jellyfish."

"Oh, well thanks, glasses! I would never have figured out that I was at the aquarium looking at jellyfish," Black joked.

Details of the Xbox One were revealed on Monday to near-universal panning from technology experts and the general public alike. Black showed a clip of one news show describing the xBox's new features, which includes motion sensors that detect facial expressions. The technology was so reviled that Germany's federal data protection commissioner called the device a "twisted nightmare."

Black retorted that when Germans call something a twisted nightmare, "you might want to consider taking another pass at it." He showed a clip at the end of the segment about a plan by Russian multimillionaire Dimitri Itskov to prolong life by uploading the human brain into androids.

Black noted that "this crappy generation" doesn't deserve to be the one that lives forever, adding, "To me the fact that we all eventually drop dead is not a bug," Black said, "it's a feature. It's the only way we rid our society of old a--holes!"

Google and Microsoft have not released any new statements about their latest developments, despite poor public perception.
