The co-hosts of The Real might have had good intentions when their former co-star Tamar Braxton’s divorce was a topic of conversation.
But fans are not here for it.

The Real was one of the first news outlets to respond to the breaking news that Braxton filed for divorce from her husband, Vincent Herbert. They offered her their prayers and condolences while citing the differences they had after Braxton was fired from the show last May.

But fans made it clear they think The Real co-hosts should have kept their comments to themselves. Check out some of the responses below.

Braxton was fired from The Real back in May 2016. She was one of five co-hosts who starred on the show since its pilot season in 2013. Interestingly enough, the reason is still unclear after more than a year. But there is speculation that it was Braxton’s alleged attitude and vernacular that rubbed advertisers the wrong way. What we do know is how Braxton found out about the show’s decision not renew her contract.

“I was actually in my glam room and when I came downstairs, I saw this look on Vince’s face,” she described during an appearance on The Steve Harvey Morning Show. He just looked distraught and confused, and I thought something happened to someone in my family, like, ‘What’s wrong? What’s going on?’ And he was just like, ‘I think you got fired.’”

She said she was instantly confused because she thought she was doing an amazing job and “loved going to work just like everybody else.”

She said she never complained and it was no secret she and her co-stars were close on and off camera. But she hinted maybe they weren’t as close as she thought.

“Me and the girls got along – so I thought. We’ve been on hiatus for about three weeks and so for this to come out of the blue is just astonishing, to be honest.”

She said neither she or Herbert couldn’t figure out why she was let go so quickly, or at all.

“I wish I could sit here and tell you that it was negotiation issues. No, ‘cause I wasn’t negotiating…. I wish I could tell you that it was a headache on set. It wasn’t. I really honestly don’t know, and I feel like that is what is bothering me to this day…If somebody just tells you they don’t like you. So is it a personality thing? Is it just me? How do you fix yourself?”

She also revealed no one on her team from her agent to her lawyer were aware of the show’s decision.
